Program outline

This webinar will address the basics of IP valuation.
We will begin with the presentation of IP rights as assets, and then introduce some concepts of IP value (subjective, value in use, transfer value).  
Then we will tackle methodologies for patent valuation and the income-method valuation will be our workhorse. This will be refined by considering various risks, using a due-diligence approach and discounted cash flow techniques (no previous knowledge needed).
Finally, we will implement the learnings in a case study of patent portfolio valuation.
At the end of the webinar, you will be able to structure your discussions about IP value with companies and start-ups, during the license lifecycle, from negotiation to exit.

This course is intended for early-stage licensing professionals. The use of an electronic sheet (excel, google) is required.
