CTI WTT -Technology Transfer Initiative of the Federation
Within the framework of the BFT-Report 2004-2007, the parliament has allocated a budget for the promotion of technology transfer between universities and industry; particularly within KMU. With the funds from year 2005, the CTI launched the WTT-Consortia. At present four such consortia are supported; three are aligned with various geographical regions, and one is aligned on a technical basis. These consortia facilitate the emergence of technologies from universities into the economy. In this capacity, the following consortia members offer technology transfer services:


Alliance

With the partners in higher education: EPFL, University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, University of Neuchatel, University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO) and the two University Hospitals at Lausanne and Geneva (CHUV and HUG).

On the business side, the association “Alliance (formerly APLE) and the Swissmem members take part in the consortium, and CSEM, IDIAP, Neode (NE) and Cimark (VS) are connected to the consortium, as well. Furthermore, the specific autonomous Ticino Programm “Ticino Transfer” is widely integrated.

Mittelland W6
